Disappointment
Here's a hypothetical situation:
You befriend a class outcast. Miss Popular gets to know about this and starts picking on you too. The only way out is to (a) disclaim all ties with the outcast. On the other hand, you wish to be a loyal friend and really hate doing such a horrible thing - (b) standing up for your friend would be clearer on your conscience.
But if you do (a), which is the more logical way out, you would have a way to get Miss Popular and gang on your side and maybe convince them to accept the outcast as a friend too.
Doing (b) would cut off all chances to redeem yourself and possibly even your friend.
What should you do?
If you are the outcast, and that friend of yours does (b), you would be really touched. Even if you both become outcasts together in the end, at least you still have each other and know that your friend's loyalty to you goes a long mile.
But that's a really illogical solution. What makes you think your friend will be happy to be an outcast like you? How long will this friend continue to stick by you?
If she does (a), then there's a chance that your reputation might be saved too. At the same time, you can't help but wonder if this friend will be truly loyal.
That was just hypothetical. What I really wanted to say is this.
Words don't matter. The heart does. It's time to look closely and see who really deserves my genuine friendship. Disappointment has set in time and again; I chose not to believe you are this sort of person but you have proved me wrong...perhaps you shouldn't have let me see it. I think it was partly my fault too but still. Sigh.
That's not Sunshine by the way. Haha. Just in case; don't say I always complain about you here ah, even though I don't! =P
