Love

After discussing various topics with friends recently, I realised something for myself.

Love is pragmatic.

At least for human love. Have you ever been punished by your parents for not being up to their expectations? Have you been ostracised by your friends because you did something they don’t like?

Arif just passed me
something in the midst of our story-pitching discussion, which totally supports my point.

Don’t focus on the drop. The fact that child suicides actually occur is bad enough.

The conclusion of the article goes, 'Being loved doesn't mean that they don't get scolded. The scolding and punishment must be in the context of the care.'

Fair enough, that may apply to parents. But what about friends? Couples?

My friend, X, is famous for being loud-mouthed and having a universally-agreed low emotional quotient. As a result, most people don’t like to interact with him.

Another friend, Y, says that he is loving his girlfriend less because she tends to irritate him with her immaturity.

Yet another, Z, laments that she feels that her value as a girlfriend increased only after she started doing the things that her boyfriend likes.

These three people are real, but of course, I’m merely talking about a small part of what they told me.

You gotta earn love. And it’s tiring.

P.S.: This post is very poorly written because I’m at work and do not have the time to explore this issue in depth.
